Privacy Policy (HIPAA)

1. Collection of Protected Health Information (PHI)

We collect personal and clinical history required to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management. This includes demographics, medical history, current medications, consultation notes, and billing records.

2. Use and Disclosure of Information

Your PHI will never be sold or shared with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes. We only disclose information for:

• Direct medical treatment and clinical follow-up.
• Billing and claims processing with your authorized health insurance.
• Legal requirements or mandatory court orders.
• Imminent risk to life or safety (prevention of self-harm or harm to others).

3. Secure Platform & Electronic Communications

All telepsychiatry sessions are transmitted using HIPAA-compliant, medical-grade encryption (AES-256). By submitting contact forms, you explicitly consent to receive clinical communications, appointment reminders, and secure emails regarding your mental health care.

4. Your Patient Rights

You have the right to request a copy of your medical records, request amendments, revoke prior consents, and request additional restrictions on the use of your PHI.

5. Additional rights depending on your state

In addition to the rights HIPAA grants across all five states, the laws of some states grant further rights over personal data you provide outside an established clinical relationship — for example, when you write to us through the contact form:

• Oregon and Delaware: access that data, correct it, request its deletion, and learn with whom it was shared.
• Washington: see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, published as a separate document under the My Health My Data Act.
